Hello, hello what’s all this? No bagged magazine this month? No plastic frame of figures? Decals instead! If you are missing your free plastic figure fix please turn to the news on page 4 to be reassured you will be getting another hit before too long. In the meantime, why not try your hand with the waterslide transfers that come with this magazine, intended to decorate your MDF (or otherwise) version of Mega City One; the dystopian futuristic metropolis that takes centre stage in the forthcoming miniatures game Judge Dredd: I am the Law, by Warlord Games. Dredd is one of the ‘Fictional Heroes’ that contributes to this month’s magazine theme, along with Captain Flint and Barry Lyndon. The list could have gone on and on, but as well as fictional heroes we had a lot of ‘factional’ content to squeeze into this magazine, including collecting the army of Charles the Bold, gaming the French and Indian War, a springboard for 17th Century wargaming, Vietnam on the tabletop, large scale convention gaming and plenty more beside. Happy reading and rolling. OBSERVATION POST Our regular look at what’s new and forthcoming in the hobby.
