The Lion of the North and the Thirty Years War "Gott mit uns!" was the battle cry which heralded the charge of King Gustavus Adolphus and his cavalry into combat, and with this article we charge into our Thirty Years War theme content. Hell at Cassino With the release of the new Cassino book for Flames Of War the Battlefront studio team launched into an ‘Infantry Aces’ campaign in which they put this new way of playing FOW to the tabletop-test. Learning to win: Sweden against Poland As a prelude to the Thirty Years War, Gustavus Adolphus cut his teeth in the wars against the Poles in the early part of the 17th Century.
