Owain ap Gruffydd, lord of Glyndyfrdwy, known famously as Owain Glyndŵr, was a medieval Welsh lord who transitioned from loyalist to rebel leader. Glyndŵr emerged from relative obscurity to inspire a significant part of the Welsh population to take up arms and fight for independence.
