A hero from a bygone age, Lord ‘Flash’ is a descendant of our previous Flash Harry, but owes more to the Boy’s Own pulp-esque magazine ‘reality’ than his Victorian predecessor. A Flying Ace and Squadron Commander, he is best described as vain, self-absorbed and arrogant. Yet he is also a reckless adventurer, prone to acts of herosim and derring-do. He delights in ‘tweaking the Kaiser’s nose’ by undertaking missions for the British Secret Service. Supposedly, women instantly fall for him, men want to be him and his opponents fear him. He is a hero of sorts, albeit one with his own publicity agent and a tendency to avoid playing the modesty card of his fellows.
