Huey 'Slick' Helicopters (WINV01)
3 troop carrying Huey Slicks, 10 Wound Markers and Decal Sheet with metal and clear plastic rotors.
What the jeep was to the US soldiers serving in World War Two, so was the Huey UH-1D “Slick” during the conflict in Vietnam. However, no one could have foreseen how critical a role the Huey played in the war effort, flying over 36,145,000 sorties during the course of the conflict.

Not only were the UH-1 responsible for
carrying thousands of US soldiers into battle but it also played a key
role in transporting the wounded by medevac, near 400,000 in Vietnam
compared to 17,000 during the Korea War. The pilots of the Huey often
put themselves at great risk in order to get the job done, whether it
be flying into a “hot” LZ or providing “dustoff”.
